A wallet for the Ğ1, a currency created by the people who use it
The Ğ1 is money created by its own users, not by a bank. Ğ1nkgo is a friendly wallet for it: create one in seconds, get paid with a QR code, pay at the market by scanning one. Free software, made with the community.
Free, no sign-up, no ads.
What is the Ğ1?
The Ğ1 (say "June") is money, like the euro, but nobody issues it from above: no government, no bank, no company. It is transparent, fair and uses very little energy. You can use it to buy and sell among people who accept it, at markets, in shops and between neighbours.
Its members are people who know each other: to join, other members confirm you are a real person, and that is called the web of trust. Every day, each member co-creates the same share of new money: the Universal Dividend (UD). You don't need to be a member to pay or get paid in Ğ1.
How it works
Open Ğ1nkgo and your wallet is ready in seconds. Write down your recovery phrase: we guide you so you never lose it.
Type the amount like on a card terminal and show the code. Whoever pays you just scans it.
Scan the seller's QR code or pick someone from your contacts, check the amount and send. On Android, two phones together also work.

A look inside

Why Ğ1nkgo?
The ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba) is a tree with fan-shaped leaves, like the one in our logo. It is a living fossil: its family was already growing more than 200 million years ago, and a few ginkgos even survived Hiroshima. Its name comes from the Japanese ginkyō, "silver apricot", and every autumn its leaves turn to gold. A good tree for a currency meant to last and to grow with everyone.
